Australian GPs expect surge in patients as prescription scheme comes into force

Australian doctors anticipate an increase in appointments with patients wanting prescriptions for nicotine e-cigarettes after new regulations come into force tomorrow.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) recently recommended users of nicotine vaping products to see their GPs to discuss their smoking cessation options. And that could mean disappointment and frustration for current vapers.
