Colombia regulates e-cigarettes for first time to keep in step with growing usage

A law to regulate vaping, heated tobacco and oral nicotine products in Colombia for the first time was signed into law by president Gustavo Petro on 9th May.

The bill will introduce some restrictions – with potentially more to come. Given the government’s negative view towards vaping products, further restrictions may be adopted in the mid-term. However, it also means the products are officially legal and not prohibited entirely.
