Debates and concerns continue ahead of UK Tobacco and Vapes Bill becoming law

The UK Tobacco and Vapes Bill has been debated in the House of Lords (upper house of Parliament) and is now just a few steps away from becoming law.

The bill will proceed to the committee review stage in the House of Lords and then undergo a third and final reading before the entire Parliament, when the final wording, including those of any amendments made, will be set to a vote. It would then return to the House of Commons (lower house) if amendments were made before an agreed version is sent for royal approval to then become an official UK law.
