The bans that have outlawed online sales and flavours in vaping products in the Netherlands in the past months have proved ineffective, as most vapers in the country circumvent them by simply purchasing flavoured products abroad, a survey found.
The study, released at the end of August by Dutch vaping consumer association Acvoda, concluded that adult consumers of vaping products in the Netherlands “feel compelled” to buy their e-cigarettes across the border after online sales of vaping products were banned in July last year and flavours other than tobacco for e-cigarette liquids were prohibited starting from 1st January.
