EC green light for France’s disposable vape ban marks turning point for Europe

The European Commission (EC) has given the green light to France’s sweeping ban on disposable vapes, marking a significant victory for health and environmental advocates. This decision follows months of heated debate about the dangers posed by single-use e-cigarettes, fuelled by growing concerns over public health and the environmental impact of their widespread use.

The new law, which passed France’s National Assembly and Senate in February, exempts disposables intended for export outside the French market and vaping products that are refillable but have non-rechargeable batteries.
