FDA marketing denial orders spread fear and confusion among US vaping retailers

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s marketing denial orders (MDOs) rejecting premarket tobacco product applications (PMTAs) have sown confusion among vape retailers, who are urging the agency to make public which vaping products have been approved for sale.

The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), the Food Industry Association (FMI), and the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) are among signatories to a letter to acting FDA commissioner Janet Woodcock and Mitchell Zeller, director of the Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), calling for a published list of all e-liquids that can remain on the market.
