Malaysia’s vape traders welcome coming taxation as legitimising their business

A new excise duty on vaping products has been hailed as a massive positive for the industry by members of the Malaysian vape sector, who see it as confirming the legality of nicotine-containing e-cigarettes.

The new tax follows the recent exemption set out in the country’s poisons list for nicotine e-liquids. Together the changes are seen as legitimising the market.
