The South Korean e-cigarette market grew slightly in 2021. Overall smoking rates have been decreasing in the last decade due to new smokeless tobacco alternatives and rising prices. E-cigarettes are regulated as tobacco products, with major bills pending that could adversely affect the market.

The value of e-cigarette exports and imports is projected to drop in 2021: China is the most important import market, with Russia the main export destination.

Physical vape stores remain the main points of sale, since the online sale of e-liquid containing nicotine is banned.
