Northern Ireland’s Department of Health has presented plans to implement a smoking and vaping ban in private cars when children are present and to ban the sale of nicotine e-liquids to under-18s.
The proposal put forward by health minister Robin Swann would set a fixed fine of £50 for drivers who violate the usage ban.
