New York lawsuit sales figures show size of bite vape firms take from the Big Apple

Figures published as part of New York state’s lawsuit against flavoured e-cigarette companies show just how big the market has been for vaping firms

Officials for the state say sales of flavoured e-cigarettes decreased by nearly 80% (79.1%) following the implementation of the statewide ban on their sale in May 2020. However, data from ECigIntelligence shows the spread of flavours in New York that vapers say they use the most does not substantially differ from the rest of the US – five years after the implantation of the flavour ban in the state.
