New York state takes e-cig companies to court over illegal sales of flavoured vapes

New York prosecutors have launched what they are calling a “landmark” case against the illegal sale of flavoured vaping products in the US state.

The case against 12 companies brought by New York state attorney general Letitia James alleges the companies knowingly violated statutes prohibiting the sale of non-tobacco-flavoured vaping products in the state while also deliberately targeting young users and ignoring multiple other laws and regulations meant to help curtail under-age vaping.
