Nicotine-containing e-cigarettes have been regulated in Portugal according to the European Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) since January 2016.
Tax on e-liquids with nicotine was increased in the 2019 budget by €0.01 to €0.31 per ml.
Advertising can be conducted only B2B and at point-of-sale.
Cross-border sales are banned.
Public place usage is limited, with vaping equated with smoking.
