Until now, e-cigarettes have not been specifically covered in Israel by tobacco legislation or any other product-specific regulation. However, in December 2018 a bill was approved in the Knesset which will apply many of the current restrictions on traditional cigarettes to e-cigarettes – such as “plain packaging” restrictions.

This regulatory report on Israel includes updates on near-future regulation involving tax, age restrictions, product restrictions, labelling and packaging, obligation to notify, retail channels, public usage and advertising and marketing.
