Description
The Italian e-cigarette business has traditionally been dominated by physical vape shops, which are by far the most popular retail channel in the country, with over 2,000 stores currently active. This can be in part attributed to the 2018 online ban, however, the outbreak of vaping-associated lung injury (EVALI) and, most recently, the Covid-19 pandemic have significantly altered the market. This report explores these changes in more detail, expanding our previous 2019 analysis into the market’s other main retail channels – online and tobacconists.
