Although at present the only effective legal frameworks that apply to e-cigarette products are those on general manufacturing and consumer products, this could all be about to change. The upcoming e-cigarette national standard sets out regulation for many aspects, including product restrictions, labelling and packaging, age restrictions, advertising and testing to name a few. While this is currently overdue, its proposals would change the regulatory landscape for e-cigarettes and related products.
