Description
Iceland passed a new law to specifically regulate e-cigarettes with and without nicotine for the first time in June 2018, creating a specific regime. While the country is not a member of the EU, it’s framework mirrors that of the EU Tobacco Products Directive in many ways. This report offers a full overview of the current regulatory regime in place in the country for vaping products, and also offers analysis of the recent bill on the table that could restrict flavours. This bill demonstrates that these products are seen by the Icelandic authorities as potentially problematic with the need for further restrictions.
