Tobacco product taxes set to rise…

Egypt: Yesterday (29th October), the House of Representatives approved a government-drafted amendment to law 67/2016 stipulating an increase in value-added taxes on tobacco products, press reports. Under the new amendments, nicotine-containing and nicotine-free e-liquids will be taxed at EGP4 ($0.12) per ml, instead of EGP2 ($0.06) per ml.
