As one of the special administrative regions of China (the other special administrative region of China is Hong Kong), Macau maintains separate governing and economic systems from those of mainland China under the principle of “one country, two systems”.

The Regime for prevention and control of tobacco use is the primary tobacco control law for Macau. The latest amendment of the law was implemented in 2018 and specifically forbids the sales of e-cigarettes. This report provides an overview of the current regulatory framework in place for vaping products.
