Regulatory report: Vietnam, September 2020

There is no product-specific regulation in Vietnam that applies to e-cigarettes and it is unclear whether e-cigarettes are considered tobacco-related products or consumer products. The Vietnamese Ministry of Health is working on a proposed total ban on e-cigarettes, but proceedings are still at an early stage. The report will outline the current limited regulations in place around e-cigarettes, as well possible future regulations that could come into play if the proposed bill in implemented.
