Romania transposed the EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) in 2016. In 2018, the regulation for the notification procedure for tobacco and vaping products was adopted. While some Romanian opposition parties have submitted bills to further regulate the e-cigarette market, none have been adopted and it is fairly likely the country will wait for the revision of the EU Tobacco Products Directive before introducing further regulation.

Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Roman law in modern European legal history at the University of Seville.
