After passing a public vote this summer, the San Francisco ban on e-liquid flavours has had a wildfire-like effect in California. The various bans affect all flavours except tobacco-flavoured e-liquids.
Since San Francisco’s example, flavoured e-liquid restrictions have been springing up in California. This week Sacramento’s Law and Legislation Committee evaluated a possible ban for flavoured tobacco products.
Sacramento, California’s capital city, is hardly the only place in California to take initiative from San Francisco’s ban since June.
Indeed, it was evident that the ban would set an example that extended beyond the city even at the time of its passing, as similar measures were considered in Oakland and Palo Alto, as well as Santa Clara County and San Leandro.
