Tax cut due along with more laws: California regulatory report

In our latest look at California’s regulations, we find that while nicotine-containing products are subject to a wholesale tax of 65.08% the tax rate is set to be adjusted to to 78% in July. Vaping is treated as tobacco in regards to public usage, and last year the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration was created to replace the Board of Equalisation and collect some of the taxes and fees previously gathered by the Board.
