Up to 1m UK smokers could be given vouchers to buy vaping equipment under a new initiative that is being called a world first.
The “swap-to-stop” scheme would provide smokers with a voucher to purchase their own preferred vaping products as part of a series of new measures to help the UK government meet a 2030 target of reducing the national smoking rate to below 5% from its current level of around 13%.
