US FDA issues MDOs for Vuse menthol e-cigs but OKs Copenhagen snuff as MRTP

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued marketing denial orders (MDOs) against two menthol e-cigarette products currently marketed by RJ Reynolds Vapor Company under the Vuse Solo brand.

At the same time, the FDA authorised the US Smokeless Tobacco Company’s Copenhagen Classic Snuff, a loose, moist snuff smokeless tobacco product, to be marketed as a modified risk tobacco product (MRTP). This is a pre-existing tobacco product that has been sold in the US for years without modified risk information.
