US FDA targets disposable vaping companies with warnings and denials

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced additional steps against disposable vaping products that have quickly become the new favourite among youth vapers.

Two brands, Puff Bar and Hyde, have had regulatory actions directed their way. For synthetic-nicotine Puff Bar, which has continued to trade despite the change in regulations placing synthetic nicotine products under the purview of the FDA, the federal agency chose to issue a warning letter to EVO Brands and PVG2 – the two companies doing business as the Puff Bar brand – for receiving and delivering e-cigarettes in the US without a marketing authorisation order.
