The use of substances, including nicotine and cannabis, by US teenagers has plateaued in 2022 after a significant decline in 2021, a national survey found.
The latest edition of the Monitoring the Future Survey (MTF), which is conducted annually among eighth, tenth and 12th graders across the US, found the percentage of adolescents reporting substance use has remained steady, similar to or significantly below pre-pandemic levels.
