What goes up must come down – Italy restores e-liquid tax to previous level

Tax on vaping products in Italy will return to 2021 levels from 1st April after the Senate passed a bill containing a measure to lower the excise duties on e-liquids.

From April, duty on nicotine-containing e-liquids will be reduced from €0.175070 to around €0.13 per ml and from €0.131303 to approximately €0.08 per ml for those without nicotine, plus 22% VAT, regardless of the retail price.
