Serbia: e-cigarette regulation, May 2024

E-cigarettes with and without nicotine are specifically regulated in Serbia and are mostly regulated under the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) standards. Long-term changes to the regulatory framework will likely come as a consequence of the ongoing review of the EU tobacco framework – the TPD and the Tobacco Excise Directive (TED) – in the next few years, due to Serbia’s status as an EU candidate.

This report provides a detailed analysis of the current regulatory framework in place in Serbia for e-cigarettes, covering all policy areas from taxation and notification to advertising and sanctions.
