EU’s safety agency gets on board with guidelines for lithium batteries

As the debate on the safety of lithium batteries continues, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published guidelines and recommendations about the carriage of e-cig batteries on flights. The agency of the European Union with regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety published a Safety Information Bulletin (SIB) to inform both airlines and passengers of a safe way to carry their lithium batteries, including those used for e-cigarettes.
