25th October 2024: US - Missouri: Yesterday (24th October), the Kansas City Council held off its docket an ordinance that would have banned the sale or distribution of tobacco and vapour products in all flavours except tobacco. This means that no further action will be taken unless a sponsor proposes the ban again. Kansas City is the largest city in Missouri, with a population of more than 500,000. It would have been the first local flavour ban in the state.
10th October 2024: US - Missouri: Today, the Kansas City Council will consider an ordinance that would ban the sale and distribution of flavoured tobacco products. The ordinance would ban all flavours except tobacco in all tobacco and vapour products. Kansas City is the largest city in Missouri, with a population of more than 500,000. If passed, this would be the first local flavour ban in the state.
9th January 2024: US - Missouri: House Bill 2211 has been introduced and would establish provisions relating to the creation of a vapour product directory. If approved, manufacturers of vapour products will be required to submit a certification form that separately lists each vapour product that is sold in this state.
28th February 2022: Missouri: House Bill 2786 has been introduced. This bill would raise the minimum age from 18 to 21 for purchasing and possession of tobacco products, alternative nicotine products, and vapour products.
