For the first time ever, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has rejected a premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) for a standalone piece of vaping hardware that contains no e-liquid.
The federal agency issued 22 marketing denial orders (MDOs) covering devices, pods, atomisers, and cartridges that form part of an e-cigarette system marketed without an e-liquid by Smok, a brand of China-based Shenzhen IVPS Technology.
