Tough new on-pack warnings with graphic images will apply to electronic cigarettes with nicotine and to heated tobacco products launched in South Korea from 23rd December. The aim is to better communicate health-related risks such as nicotine addiction to consumers.
Nicotine-containing vapour products and heated tobacco consumables are considered tobacco products and basically regulated in the same was as traditional cigarettes, with slight differences.
Several taxes to nicotine-containing e-liquids also apply in Korea, where nicotine-free e-liquid is illegal and online sales of nicotine-containing e-cig products are banned.
