Gottlieb proposes limiting flavour sales to adults-only premises

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced today that it will be revisiting its compliance policy around the deeming for flavours other than menthol, mint, and tobacco.

Directives have been established that will attempt to toughen up the compliance policy for online sales for vapour flavours, as well as advancing imminently a notice of proposed rulemaking that will seek to ban menthol flavours in combustibles outright, according to a statement by FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb.

On e-cigarettes, Gottlieb proposed that all flavours except mint, menthol, and tobacco should be sold only face-to-face in adults-only premises. And he announced that the FDA is revising its compliance policy to achieve that result.
