LATEST ALERTSTobacco company Altria has told the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that it will stop selling e-cigarette pods and most non-tobacco flavours in the US.
According to a letter addressed to FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb from Altria Group COO and director Howard Willard III, Altria will remove its pod-based products MarkTen Elite and Apex by MarkTen from the market until they receive approval in the form of a product marketing order from the FDA, or “the youth issue is otherwise addressed”.
Altria will likewise restrict its MarkTen and Green Smoke cigalike products to tobacco, menthol, and mint flavors, removing the other flavoured options which the FDA says attract youth.
