Bolivia: e-cigarette regulation, April 2024

Nicotine-containing vaping products are regulated under the Tobacco Law in Bolivia, while nicotine-free ones fall outside the scope of the law and are regulated as general consumer products.

No amendments in the regulatory framework of vaping products have been announced, though some could take place unexpectedly. Any changes would most likely be in line with the government’s negative approach towards nicotine and alternative products, meaning that they would be further restricted.

This report offers a detailed examination of the regulatory framework in place in Bolivia for e-cigarettes, covering all policy areas from taxation and notification to advertising and public usage.
