Disposables can be recycled if collected and handled correctly, says UK study

Attempts to make e-cigarettes more recyclable could have unintended consequences and must still be supported by collection infrastructure to have any impact, industry members warn. 

A new study on the recycling performance of single-use vapes by Waste Experts, commissioned by vape producer Alternative Nicotine Delivery Solutions (Ands), compared the recyclability and recoverability of materials used in a widely available, single-use vape (product A) and a new-to-market, cardboard-based vape (product B) to assess the environmental credentials of the two products.
