Currently, there is still no product-specific regulation in Colombia that applies to electronic cigarettes. However, a legal proposal which would regulate e-cigs passed the Senate vote and three readings in the lower chamber in the first half of 2020; however, it did not manage to go to the fourth and last reading and was archived before the summer recess. As there is a political appetite for its adoption, it is possible that the same or similar text will be reintroduced to the legislature in autumn 2020. This report offers analysis of both the current and possible future restrictions and regulations relating to e-cigarettes.
