Months after clarifying that no commercial content associated with vaping – either marketing or informational – can appear on social media platform TikTok, the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ruled against four e-cigarette brands whose products were promoted by influencers on the site.
ASA told Chinese vaping brands Zovoo and Innofly as well as the UK-based companies Vapes Bars and The Disposable Vape Store that the posts promoting their products and services on the site should be removed, as they violate UK laws on advertising.
