UK publishes draft disposables ban, and introduces generational smoking ban bill

The UK government has published a draft proposal to ban disposable vaping products starting from 1st April 2025, including both nicotine-containing and nicotine-free products, though pods will continue to be legal. New restrictions on flavours, packaging and retail displays could follow.

Separately, a new bill to protect future generations across the UK from the harmful impacts of smoking was introduced to Parliament last week, and its second reading is scheduled for 16th April 2024.
