UK’s public health establishment mostly welcomes NICE guidance on e-cigs

The British public health sector has broadly welcomed the updated guidance from the UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), regarding it as a win for those who believe in the effectiveness of e-cigarettes in helping smokers quit.

The UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) described the government health advisory body’s recommendations as a milestone on the road towards “the mainstream acceptance that vaping is a safe and effective smoking cessation method”.
