US judge rules Altria to pay ‘fair’ and ‘adequate’ $45m in Juul class action suit

Juul will have to pay just over $300m in total to settle its US class action lawsuit.

A final agreement was reached in which Altria, former owner of a 35% stake in Juul, added an additional $45m as a contribution to cover claims made in the period where it was involved, on top of the $255m previously agreed with Juul to fully settle the suit brought against the former vaping giant.
