France: e-cigarette regulation, July 2022

The French regulatory framework for e-cigarettes has not undergone any major change recently, and there is no debate or law proposal on the table.

French president Emmanuel Macron’s agenda does not foresee any policy regarding vaping products. Additionally, the 2022 legislative elections for the National Assembly did not grant a ruling majority to the re-elected president, making any policy approval that much more difficult.

This report details the regulatory framework for e-cigarette products in France, including age, product, packaging and advertising restrictions, public usage, notification requirements, taxation and sanctions.
