UK studies on health messages in vape packaging signal missed opportunities

Awareness about vaping and its features may encourage cigarette smokers to switch, prevent vaping uptake by youth and non-smokers, and boost users’ knowledge of comparative risks associated with tobacco and e-cigarette use, according to two recently released UK studies.

According to researchers from the University of Stirling’s Institute of Social Marketing and Health, e-cigarette brands could use their product packaging to spread messages encouraging smokers to switch and deterring non-users from starting to vape.
