A very rare tragedy – how vaping could have contributed to a teenager’s death

The possible role of e-cigarettes in cases of collapsed lungs has been under greater scrutiny following reports blaming the death of an Israeli teenager on vaping.

It remains unclear at present what role vaping may have played in the death of 16-year-old Midan Keller. There is potential, however, for a relationship between vaping and collapsed lungs, known clinically as pneumothorax.
