Agile companies will benefit from regulatory adversity, according to UK multi-product retailer Supreme.
The company said it expects a proposed vaping tax planned for October 2026 in the UK to lead to consolidation in the market, while other proposed regulatory changes – such as increases to the national living wage and higher National Insurance contributions – can be planned around. Supreme added that it expects these two items to add an annualised increase of around £900,000 to its people costs.
