Altria and Njoy respond to ITC’s initial ruling in Juul patent infringement case

Altria Group and its subsidiary Njoy have expressed their disagreement with a recent ruling by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) concerning a patent infringement complaint filed by Juul Labs.

The ITC’s administrative law judge (ALJ) issued an initial determination recommending a ban on the import of Njoy’s Ace device into the US, siding with Juul on the patent dispute. Altria and Njoy are preparing to present their case to the full ITC, which is expected to make a final decision by 23rd December 2024.
