Lower nicotine content levels make tobacco products less addictive, but in vapes, they may lead users to compensate their intake by increasing the pace and intensity of their puffs.
A recent study published by the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) revealed that, while curbing nicotine levels in e-cigarettes prompted surveyed vapers to increase the frequency of their puffs – resulting in a possible higher exposure to chemicals through inhalation – less-addictive e-cigarettes would still benefit public health.
