The final report of the European Parliament’s Special Committee on Beating Cancer (BECA), which will be voted on 9th December, is expected to ask the Commission to assess a ban on selected flavours rather than a full prohibition as it acknowledges the role of vaping products in quitting the habit.
The political parties agreed earlier this week on a set of the so-called “compromise amendments” to be included in the final version of the report, prepared in response to Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan launched by the European Commission earlier this year.
