Idaho denies local governments the right to be tougher than the state on vaping

Local governments in the US state of Idaho will not be able to impose heavier e-cigarette regulation than the state already requires, following the governor’s signing of Senate Bill 1285.

This change to the legislation had a vocal minority opposing it. Opponents of the bill wanted municipalities to be able to restrict sales and marketing of tobacco and vaping products further than the state provides.
