The Italian Tobacconists Federation (FIT) wants to address growing concern over disposable e-cigarettes by having tobacconists act as collection points for used devices – a suggestion some have dismissed as a bid to take business from specialist vape retailers.
FIT president Mario Antonelli told the federation’s national conference in Rome earlier this year of a proposed collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment to devise a plan for the proper disposal of single-use e-cigs.
